What is “Vision 2001“?
The South Plainfield Vision 2001 Education Foundation has recently changed its name to the South Plainfield Education Foundation. The Foundation is a non-profit, tax exempt organization. It was created to seek financial support from the business community to underwrite scholarships for South Plainfield High School Students. The Foundation is headed and governed by a Board of Trustees which is comprised of business leaders and educators. The Foundation’s mission is to continue generating funds for scholastic and civic incentive programs, as well as provide scholarships for South Plainfield students.
The foundation will help provide:
1. Financial support incentive programs that encourage good citizenship and academic achievements
2. Annual scholarships
3. Internship and co-operative work opportunities
4. Opportunities for inventive industry/school partnerships
5. Endowment funds for scholarships
